RE: "To folks immersed in the pablum that Hollywood spoonfeeds them, I suppose not"
"No. Is it something all the right-thinking, happy-shiny Hollywood people should see?"
These quotes of yours are proof positive that you have a hostile, ugly tone towards everything Hollywood that betrays a complete and willful ignorance of the subject, and a vast under-appreciation for the cinema as the touching, ever-lasting art form that it can be (and is sometimes). Since you don't seem to care about movies in the first place unless one of them should happen to offend your political beliefs (and since you are unable to talk about MDB in a context other than through your BS agenda), that makes it a little difficult to discuss (or argue, or fight about) MDB or any other movies with you.
Where I can cite examples to back up my claims, you have nothing but empty, pre-packaged rhetoric against Hollywood for what you perceive to be it's moral failings, as if you were some kind of an El Rushbo clone or something.
Bah. I think I'm through talking with you. I'm moving on to FReepers who can actually HEAR what I'm saying.
Dude, the only cite between you and me has been mine of Ebert's review of the "The Woodsman." You haven't cited anything! The guy here who can't get past the smokescreen of his own rhetoric and ad hominem is you. So get on with what you promised and go peddle it somewhere else.
