When his liver implodes, I'm really going to miss him.

I heard Sen Orrin Hatch finally got Ted into a secret rehab program and Teddy is off the booze for now. What they say really did it was a doctor told him he was dying of alcoholism. I have no idea if the rumor is true that Kennedy has stopped drinking (he looks a bit better these days) but I have no doubt that Ted is an alcoholic.

Despite my distaste and utter disgust with Kennedy, I hope he stays sober for his sake. But he has yet to make amends with all the people his alcoholism has hurt over the years (that is one of the 12 steps--to make amends to those you have harmed.)

Kennedy could start with a public apology to the Kopechne family.

I haven't seen Teddy lately, even on MTP yesterday. If he looks better than he used to, I'd guess that you're right.

The factor that argues against that is that recovering alcoholics tend to change their behavior and quit being obnoxious offensive jerks, at least for a little while. If anything, he's becoming more offensive and hateful.

Your post of Mary Jo Kopechne's (sp) photo was expected. As I posted this article, I was inclined to hyperlink each mention of Ted Kennedy's name to stories or photos of her homicide. I backed off in haste to post and the realization I didn't have good links or even the correct spelling of her name. If there is senator who could really be brought down by the internet, it would be this scum, Ted Kennedy. A "google bomb" of Ted Kennedy linking him to stories of Miss Kopchne's death may be a good start.

ok, that explains his latest outbursts..he' s been separated from his buddy,Ethel..I understand that he has lost 40 lbs. also..but don't look for Teddy to be apologizing to anyone for his behavior..and I am expecting him to fall off the wagon as he can't live with the truth..

there may have been a private apology years ago. The Kopechne family moved into a $300,000 luxury home in the Poconos shortly after Mary Jo's death (and that is 1970's dollars). Not bad for a coal miner with black lung.
