Pretty realistic.
It may save some lives.

This is why I don't have a dozen stuffed animals or any other possible projectile on the dash of my truck. Too many things fly around in a wreck.

On Christmas eve, my nephew was in a tremendous wreck. He was the passenger.

Like his uncle (me) he is allergic to seat belts. He did not wear it. When the car went airborne, it rotated clockwise.

He fell out. He was very seriously injured.

The driver, wearing his seat belt, continued on with the car to impact. The car was crushed. So was the driver. The passenger seat where my nephew sat was non existent.

So if the world worked according to you, he would be dead too.

They play that video constantly on TV here in Ireland. Your right about the dangers of not wearing seat belts, but every night we are subjected to an array of gory and disturbing ads involving adults and children killed crashes. They're horrible to watch and I hate my children seeing them.

Thanks for posting. I know from personal experience how important it is to wear a seat belt. I was in an accident and the seat and shoulder belt kept me in front of the steering wheel (and in control of my vehicle) and kept me from flying through the windshield or otherwise out of the car.

Thanks....now lets see one where a car goes off a bridge into water and the seat belt CANNOT BE UNLOCKED!

Both of my parents volunteered on an ambulance for 14 years apiece. They responded to literally thousands of calls. They're fond of saying that they've never unbuckled a body out of a seatbelt.

Powerful stuff.

That fact that my wife and daughter are alive today after being hit head on by an illegal aliens at 9:00 at night with out insurance or a drivers license proved to me that seat beats are a life saver.

It also proved to me that small cars are death traps. She happened to be driving my Camry instead of her Civic because she forget to gas up.

The same accident wearing seat beats in her Civic, I don't think she would have made it.

Ridin' along in my automobile
My baby beside me at the wheel
I stole a kiss at the turn of a mile
My curiosity runnin' wild

Cruisin' and playin' the radio
With no particular place to go.

Ridin' along in my automobile
I'm anxious to tell her the way I feel,
So I told her softly and sincere,
And she leaned and whispered in my ear
Cuddlin' more and drivin' slow,
With no particular place to go.

No particular place to go,
So we parked way out on the Kokomo
The night was young and the moon was bold
So we both decided to take a stroll
Can you imagine the way I felt?
I couldn't unfasten her safety belt!

Ridin' along in my calaboose
Still tryin' to get her belt aloose
All the way home I held a grudge,
For the safety belt that
wouldn't budge
Cruisin' and playin' the radio
With no particular place to go.

Funny, isn't it, that you never see any race car drivers wearing seat belts.

Good one, but if you really want to go scare the crap out of your kids, send them to ogrish.com to look at after photos from traffic accidents. Just don't do it before a meal.

It might be MORE EFFECTIVE if teen-agers were taught how to drive RESPONSIBLY in the first place. I drive a thousand miles a week, and the number of kids I see speeding and tailgating every day is amazing.
