If it were not for journalists, the government would have an easier job of controlling us, feeding us bullsh*t and keeping us in the dark....like they do now, only much, much worse.
Journalism is the life blood of this forum.
Oh please, the MSM is a willing partner in the feeding us crap and keeping us in the dark.
Government is not the enemy; demagogues are the enemy.
Journalists like to convince us they are protecting us from the big, bad government (especially now that the Republicans are the rule) when they are delivering us into the hands of demagogic egomaniacs like the Churchills, Sharptons, Osamas, and Deans. That's where the heavy bullsh*t is coming from.
In Hawaii, here's a story on a guy who used to be the D Party treasurer:

"Meanwhile, Dobelle, known for his egocentric statements made in the press, is telling mainland reporters interviewing him about his time at the University that he was driven out of Hawaii because he was too popular with the people and could have been elected governor if he chose to run.
Dobelle told the Suns reporter, Rebecca Piro: "I suspect they thought I was going to run for governor," he said, adding that it was not his intention. "I say this without arrogance: I'm a very popular public figure."
Dobelle also continues to say, as he did in the Hawaii press, "a lot of colleges and foundations offered me (president positions)" without disclosing any names.
Dobelle told Piro of the Sun, that he wanted to come back to Boston and only applied for one position. "It's the only job I applied for," he said referring to his position as the newly appointed president of the New England Board of Higher Education.
In reality, computer records at the University of Hawaii show he used to no avail University facilities on work time, and his assistants time, to search for jobs all across the mainland.
Dobelle, who University regents said "lied" to them on more than one occasion, apparently is now fooling at least one mainland reporter who writes: "The board of regents also admitted Dobelle had done nothing wrong and rescinded its forced termination, according to Hawaii newspapers and Dobelle's own account."
If Piro had checked her facts, shed see the U.H. Board of Regents did not say Dobelle had done "nothing wrong." If so, then why was Dobelle forced to be demoted from president to researcher in his third year of a 10-year contract? The regents openly called him a "liar" in their executive session and presented substantial documentation showing Dobelle had misused the schools money for personal use.

According to her own article, reporter Rebecca Piro's email address is mailto:rpiro@lowellsun.com -- anyone in Hawaii want to give her a clue?"
The editor of the Honolulu Advertiser worked mightily and tirelessly to convince us Dobelle was a lengendary academic giant. That guy was a pathological liar who threatened to sue anytime who was questioned. Who's going to protect us from the journalists?
The journalists are the greatest danger in society because they can manipulate information and communications with no restraints -- other than the we the people.
