This is my first attempt to post anything here, after lurking for a time and finally registering.
I lived in Davenport for 3.5 years. In my opinion, drugs, gang activity, and the overall mentality of segments of the population are the leading factors for crime out there. Then again, it could be the boredom of living in a cornfield...sorry about that, but Davenport did not impress me.
I'll look for more information.

Thanks for the first-hand information. I always thought Iowa was pretty laid back and crime free. I guess I'll have to rethink that.
