Oh, sure...let's have the UN ( who opposed the war for very good reasons of their own protection) and is anti UN do "research" into this "issue". Yeesh! We embed them, they become a liability to the troops, and now this!
The foreign journalists can't say anything negative about our troops and their valiant and compassionate nature freeing millions and making the mideast hopefully safer...so they bring up this red herring.
Hey, if you don't trust our troops....STAY HOME!

Using a pen, camera, and mike to disparage the job being done by men who kill for a living... Can only be safely done from thousands of miles away.

Abovitz does a good job of re-capping Eason Jordan's allegations and their ramifications. Plus, he identifies the issues that they give birth to.
How much longer can the MSM stay away from this story?
International news executive accuses U.S. military of targeting journalists. One would think such a charge would have the MSM running screaming into the streets, brandishing their notepads...whispering breathlessly into their mikes "at the scene of the crime(s)"...gathering their voices and roaring at Congress to "rein in the serial killers in camo".
But, no. Where the hell are they on this story?
Either journalists are being assassinated in cold-blood by American soldiers...or they aren't. Which is it?
In either case, somebody needs to be accountable. For murder...or for slander, sedition, treason or unconscionable liberal bias and aggravated irresponsibility (as the case might be).

But, no. Where the hell are they on this story? Sucking on their thumbs, hoping that no one calls on them to report on it.

Why should journalists be protected? They are there on their own, not by invitation. Whoever sent them should provide for their protection. Otherwise, if the military is going to be held responsible for their safety, they should be locked away somewhere and the military should control their movement.

Got a feeling we're going to get some answers to this soon:
..."...what is going to happen to journalists covering Iraq going forward?"....
Especially if the reporter embedded with the terrorists os picked up on a sky drone.

Sucking on their thumbs, hoping that no one calls on them to report on it. When this report first surfaced, I wrote it up as a news article and submitted it on CNN's "breaking news/tips" hotline.
I have yet to receive so much as a "thank you".

What really did happen in Iraq to both the U.S. and foreign journalists killed while trying to cover the war?
It is counterintuitive to the point of madness for this question to be asked. There has been detailed reporting on all casualties in Iraq. There is a journalistic organization that has cataloged all the incidents of journalistic casualties.
Had this been a real story CNN WOULD HAVE COVERED IT! They are certainly not afraid of pressure from the US government though they were afraid of Sadam. What hypocritical self absorbed, prostitutes.

Had this been a real story CNN WOULD HAVE COVERED IT! Yep, in this case, Sherlock Holmes' observation about the dog that didn't bark definitely applies.

Maybe once bitten twice shy. Rathergate is fresh in their minds and perhaps they aren't as willing to sling unfounded mud at our own as they were before said debacle. They may just be acknowledging their accountability.
I know this is wishful thinking, but I'm an optimist.

I heard that this guy--Eason--was involved with that CNN deal where they made an agreement with Sadaam that CNN wouldn't say anything bad about his regime to get the CNN stories. Anyone else hear that?

Yes, that's him. I have only one question. The session was videotaped. Who has the tape and why has it not surfaced yet?

Why doesn't the author go to Iraq and personally check it out...just to be sure.
