I don't believe that the Bible addresses evolution.

See, God gives an account of Creation, and not once does He say that He set a sequence in motion. He and Adam, participated in it. In the bible, one constant theme is that man is to become a partner with God in Creation. Just another animal cannot be from the beginning, a partner with God

I feel like we are two dogs, barking in the night at each other. I think you are taking the description of evolution and deciding that nowhere in there did God have a part. I can't personally say at what point God "created" us in His image. I can't even say for sure that we evolved out of anything. What I can say is that God could have done it about any way He wants. Whatever we discover about that process, our perceptions are merely descriptive, not prescriptive.

I don't believe in the literal translation of the Bible--not in the way you seem to. I don't wear my hair long and my head covered.

My worldview is somewhat Eastern--in that my day-to-day living philosophy is that I try to be accepting of what comes my way and not have to be in control of everything. I tend to judge every single event in my life as "good" or "bad." I am trying to see everything as part of a whole that I may not be able to see yet. Something may happen that I label "bad," but that later turns out to have consequences that appear to be "good." And so on. I am trying to let go of that constant judging process.
