I always go out of my way to extend the warmest welcome to Americans in London and find them to be polite and considerate tourists unlike the French who are rude.

And I do the same for tourists visiting over here. It is not the commoner who is rude but the pretentious aristocrat or, in America, the politician ;-D

True aristocrats know much better than to be rude. It's the nouveaux-riches who think they have to act like Leona Helmsley or Donald Trump to be accepted into high society.

Families like the Bushes treat their underlings with respect, and the warm feelings are returned. Insecure poseurs like John Kerry and Hillary Clinton abuse their help and it comes back to bite them. Look at the snowboarding incident during the campaign.
