In the article there are several books and publications mentioned that convey anti- Americanism. But there are only two books we should be worried about.
THE BIBLE and THE KORAN.
Christianity has been attacked since it's inception. Our ancestors migrated to America for opportunity and religous freedom. In the "world view" Christianity is openly attacked because the principals like morality and freedom are strictly defined. Europe has dispised America since we beat back the Brits and the French and took control of our own destiny. I am sure Eurpoe has been meddling in American affairs ever since, but unlike in the past, we have the internet to inform us, where before they were just ignored by most of us.
Unfortunately, there are many vain Americans who let foreign public opinion dominate their mindspace.
Agreed. And, in that regard, you may find this article worth reading. A professor of ancient languages, has done an exhaustive study on the root languages used to write the Koran, with some startling results. Not surprisingly, much of the text was poorly translated from Aramaic and Bedouin village dialects. The professor assumed a pseudo name, as his life was and still is threatened by militant Muslims.
The Virgin and the Grapes the Christian Origins of the Koran
Yes but isn't wonderful that with the age of the Internet we can now quickly compare current world views to our own? It has become increasingly clear to many for the first time how different we are from other countries. We see clearly now that we have a distinct identity that sets us apart.
No longer are we just the new melting pot of the world. We, the US, have a face and I like what I see.
