"Are kids still breastfeeding at 2?"

Yes, definitely. In fact, the weaning age accorinding to the Bible is 3 (the story of Hanna weaning Samuel indicates that at age 3 he was brought to the temple, after his weaning).

I nursed six beautiful children. All of them I nursed until at least a year and a half. Two of them I nursed until they were 3. A couple until they were 2. It depends on the baby, what is going on in your life, how committed you are to nursing, baby's emotional needs, etc. There are no hard and fast rules.

For your education on the subject you might want to check out La Leche League (I think the URL is www.lll.org or www.llli.org).... they have lots of info on breastfeeding and "extended" breastfeeding. (I put that in quotes because in our culture nowadays we see nuring past 6 weeks as "extended").

Somehow your post is both educational and TMI.

Thanks.
