The woman may have poor judgement, but she certainly should not be in legal straits due to this... Nanny-states are not conservative!
We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America....
Feel free to read the rest!
Freedom, to me, means you can be stupid, or ignorant, without going to jail!
Unless you think her statements about the 2 yr old indicate that he's a precocious child and death threats are meaningless 'poor judgment' is a huge understatement.
Well I do have children 2 of whom are boys and I can guarantee my 8yr old does not have hustler pics hidden. Nor did I ever or will ever buy him any.
Children should not be exposed to sexual activites by adults.EVER.
I certainly won't let my boys grow up thinking a woman spread eagle for all the world to see for love of money is what women are about. Sex is for the privacy of the adult bedroom. What you do in there is no one's business. It has no place on a 2 yr olds wall.
Sticks and stones... hate crimes... thought control! I guess I am politically incorrect... I learned to ignore idiots, when I see them!
"Freedom, to me, means you can be stupid, or ignorant, without going to jail!"
yeah, your are right...as long as she doesn't violate YOUR rights then it's ok for her to break the law and she certainly shouldn't be PUNISHED (*gasp*) for it. /sarcasm
It IS a good thing you don't go to jail just for being stupid, isn't it...
What a maroon.
"I wonder where he learned these dirty names. Maybe "on the street""
I went up and down the street every day on my tricycle visiting the neighbors but they were all older adults and didn't use vulgar language. They were suckers when I hit them up for a snack though.
Larry Flynt's gotten to you too?
So you think we need this type of law enforcement? What good purpose will be served by jailing a woman, and taking her child from her. I guess maybe, possibly, perchance, perhaps, peradventure, he may become deranged by seeing some breasts, and commit mayhem when he grows up! Surely, he'll do better in foster care!
Get real...
Your still sucking at your mothers tit at 57?
The ability to isolate one aspect of a story from the whole and focus on it as if it's the only relevant point is at least as perverse as thinking that the sight of a naked woman will scar a child for life. Both PsOV are deranged and lack any grounding in reality. You're just as oblivious to cause and effect as they are.
I agree with you. I am sure the kid saw his mom naked or half naked several times anyway. I am not sure he asked to have the pic on the wall but if a picture of a naked woman is going to ruin this kid at age 2 then we are all in trouble here. This is big brother at its finest and most of the people here seem to think the cops did good!
"Surely, he'll do better in foster care! "
Yeah, I guess you are right. No one who has ever been in foster care ever ever turned out better than they would have without it. I know when Mr. Melbell was in foster care as a child he would have been MUCH better off with his druggy, slutty mother than he was with that preacher and his wife...

I really don't disagree with you on much of this except your thinking that your son is not going to do things behind your back. Some boy in the neighborhood has a Playboy or Hustler magazine hidden in a garage, hidden in some bushes in the field where they play.
My advise to you is to put aside these beliefs your child "would never do anything like this." That is a dangerous attitude and exactly the attitude that has led parents to lose their children to drugs, gangs, alcohol, etc. Your attitude should be, I don't think he would do these things but I am going to be sneaky as heck to make sure if he does, I will know about it as soon as he does.
That means snooping around his room, knowing his every possession and hiding place as well or better than he does - never letting him know you are doing it.
And don't be too quick to jump on him if you do find something you don't approve of. Weigh the risk. It may be better to monitor and keep on the look out for other things that could be far worse than what you have discovered.
You are fighting human nature. Don't be fooled that it will somehow magically pass over your son. It may very well turn out that way. But the risk is too great to leave to chance.
I'm in no way deluded in thinking my son won't sneak with friend his age and peek at mag when he starts maturing. I expect that and I agree that it is a normal 'male right of passage' for lack of a better way to put it.
I know my 15 yr old has and continues to behind my back. I certainly let him know that what he sees is not the way average women behave or want to be treated. That is why boys instinctly know to sneak.
Point is it is normal for kids to explore sex with peers as they grow. An adult supplying porn to children is not normal and speaks of an issue in the adult.
BTW my daughter would be horrified if naked hustler pics were posted on our walls. It would in a way give her brothers a view of her nakedness.
Well, nasty to you, maybe, but in most times and places, toddlers have nursed. Breasts aren't just there to sell pornography; they're there to feed children, and some children nurse longer than others. If it offends you, look away.
What about artwork? What pushes the limit - prints out of Kenneth Clark's The Nude? Do parents who are painters now have to forgo putting their nude representations on the walls if they have children? Can we decide what artwork constitutes "indecency" with regard to a child, and which one doesn't, or do we all "know it when we see it?
This is important because constitutionally protected rights are *independent* of content. If a parent can be arrested for allowing a child to see a picture from Hustler (I am assuming it's got detail of interest to an OB/gyn, and not just the bare chest shots of Playboy), then why are they safe having Williams OB or a biologically graphic painting in their house?
I hope I don't think I am disagreeing with you on this. And my comments about keeping watch were general comments. Of course, I did not know your situation. It sounds like you have things pretty well under control.
All the Best!
