I don't understand why the onus here is placed on the cops. They had probable cause to bust the guy. It's the prosecuting attorneys and the judge who then took the ball and ran with it.
And there are laws against lying to the cops on things like this and the guy could sue for civil damages.
I think the cop bashers aren't taking in the whole situation. Lady shows up with injuries and a story. She acts funny so they say, "We don't belive you, sorry." Then she shows up dead. And the cop bashers can rant some more about how awful the cops are.
Sorta like Democrats complaining about how the war is being run. There is always going to be something bad happening, so there will be plenty to bash about, if bashing is your thing.
