Liberty? You mean I will have to go back to fearing for my life every time I come to an intersection around here.
Sounds like I'd be well advised to get a gun to carry around with me in my car lest I encounter any of these red-light runners we're gonna' have, so I can defend myself.
Like if the law isn't going to protect you, there's no choice but to exercise the Second Amendment.

I love riding a motorbike without a helmet. I know that it can be more dangerous in the event of an accident, but I have always made a value judgment based on the amount of enjoyment I was deriving from the unimpeded view and the freedom offered and the possibility of having an accident.
I rode 14,500 kms through India in 1991, 10,000 kms through Indonesia in 1998/98, and 2,000 kms through France in 1997. I have ridden on three occasions in Thailand. The riding in the three Asian countries was much more fun than in France.
It's a very tough call for regulators and lawmakers, but in some instances I think riding a motorbike or scooter without a helmet should be allowed and be quite legal.
Imagine "La Dolce Vita" with Marcello Mastroianni and
Anita Ekberg on their Vespa with ugly, big, cumbersome helmets on ?
