Don't look now, but your gas prices could go higher.

Every time the Saudis are mad at us, that's what they do and they are probably furious at President Bush and the United States right now.

Wednesday night in his State of the Union (search) speech, the president singled out Saudi Arabia (search) and Egypt (search) as countries which could do a bit more — to put it mildly — in the democracy department.

Well, well.

Long ago, back in the dark ages of the 70s, I read an article about simply taking over Saudi Arabia, annexing it, and renaming it the United Saudi State of America.

Although it was a tongue in cheek article, it appears to have some merit..

hen the market began to be manipulatedin order to defeat Bush, it became a defacto policy that oil prices are to remain high. Bush knows this and so should anyone else. However, the same Dims that have no problem raising taxes on gas will also be the ones to claim it's Bush's fault that oil prices remain high or go even higher. This will encourage OPEC and others and make it even easier for them to raise prices. Fortunately, I thought about this when we bought our Jeeps - not too bad on gas and potentially higher prices part of the decision making process.

Well, I was just reading about India and the massive amounts of oil they will have to offer soon. Let's get in there and help them get it flowing. Then the Sauds can be as mad as they want.

1) I believe the White House would have given Saudi Arabia and Egypt a "heads up" that something like that was coming

2) I thought the President was bought and paid for by the Saudis? "Michael Moore, your psychiatrist on line 1."
