Let them justify their mission to make friends with Hamas too.
Please don't confuse them with the Bible Presbyterian, Orthodox Presbyterian, Evangelical Presbyterian, Presbyterian Church in America, Associate Reformed Presbyterian, and Free Presbyterian churches.
Thank You
I wouldn't do that
Many will. Thank you for your consideration.
I have no problems with choosing not to invest in Israel.
It isn't like we don't send at least $3 billion a year in foreign aid since 1987...
Rank-and-file Presbyterians didn't vote for this; it was the leftist activists who have embedded themselves in leadership positions.
Leaving aside the question of investing in Israel, they are divesting from UYS companies that do business with Israel and, in particular, help it defend its citizenry from terrorism. For example, an often-mentioned target of the divestiture crusade (even by a PCUSA minister who posted on Free Republic) was Caterpillar, because it sells bulldozers to the IDF, which the IDF uses to close weapon-smuggling tunnels.
They are trying to pressure American companies to abandon Israel's efforts to defend itself against Palestinian arab terror.
UYS = US
If they want to divest, fine. It is a valid critique of Israeli policy, regardless of whether you agree, and it's not like the Presbyterian church is going to bring down the state of Israel. Considering this to be appeasement to Hamas is a complete misuse of the word.
You're speaking of a church that is not only interested in appeasing HAMAS, in the misguided belief that they will somehow be spared their ultimate wrath...
This is a church that actively endorses-albeit, in a roundabout manner-the essential goals embodied by the 1987 founding charter of the "Islamic Moment."
They are part and parcel of the malodorous National Council of Churches, commie-symps who never met a chic Marxist cause celebre that they hesistated to wholeheartedly embrace.
Anyway, this guy in the book, he said something about blessing those who bless Israel, and cursing those who curse Israel. Can you believe it? The bishops had a good laugh over it at the last NAMBLA meeting.
More accurately it's very close to co-operation with the Arab boycott of Israel. Which is illegal.
"Truly they should replace the crosses in their churches with Swastikas."
And ruin a good disguise? That would make it awfully easy to spot those wolves.
May we continue to TEST the spirits, ALL of them, as HE has commanded us to do, to know whether they are of GOD. Only those who love Israel with all their hearts are of God.
