Man Discharged after Manure Attack on Kilroy-Silk

By Pat Hurst, PA

A man who covered TV pundit and politician Robert Kilroy-Silk with a bucket of manure walked free from court today.

David McGrath, 37, was given a conditional discharge by JPs at Manchester Magistrates Court.

Unemployed McGrath, of Wilmslow, Cheshire threw the bucket of slurry over Mr Kilroy-Silk because of his disparaging comments about Arabs and Muslims, the court heard.

McGrath pleaded guilty to three charges of causing criminal damage and one public order offence following the attack in Manchester on December 3 last year.

New Education Minister Ruth Kelly and Mr Kilroy-Silk’s driver were also splattered with the manure.

Does anyone know what the "disparaging comments about arabs and muslims" actually were?

I have a serious suspicion Mr. Kilroy-Silk (what a name!) was just speaking the plain honest truth, but I can't be sure untill I can read the comments for my self.

Liberals judges of the world are making it clear that they believe people have a right to attack the truth.

What he wrote:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1055383/posts
"In a piece, headed "We owe Arabs nothing", Kilroy-Silk claimed they had contributed nothing to the world apart from oil and referred to them as "suicide bombers, limb-amputators, women repressors".

He added: "What do they think we feel about them? That we adore them for the way they murdered more than 3,000 civilians on September 11 then danced in their hot, dusty streets to celebrate their murders?" "

Ah yes, when the shit hit the Tan...

I think the vast majority of people in the country are behind the slurry-thrower- Killroy is an amusingly egotistical joke of a public figure, and it really couldn't have happened to a nicer person. I hope his new party provides as much entertainment as his wonderfully successful time at UKIP did.
