To: crazy man michael

You know, I am not so old but 'in my day' teachers didn't take a stand on any lifestyle. There were a few kids that came from divorced families. We whispered that to one another but nobody advocated that they were better off than we...and nobody talked them down by pointing out how much pain their families were in.

There are things that should be taught in school. Perhaps there are things that are best learned outside the classroom, on the street or through real life experience. Might not the best solution be just to teach respect by showing respect and let kids learn some of this adult stuff by experience, as they grow?

I agree. It seems that schools want to get involved in all aspects of a student's life. Get back to the 3 R's and ditch the sociological nonsense.
