Are you kidding? Hollywood is no more capable of paying tribute to the 40th U.S. President and the first great President of the Screen Actors Guild than the Nation of Islam is to paying tribute to the Jewish Heroes of the Warsaw Ghetto.

I have a long-shot Oscar prediction for how they'll memorialize Ronald Reagan. I think they'll restrict him to the obits, since ignoring him completely would draw criticism. And, I predict they'll run his clip next to Amrish Puri's (he was Mola Ram in 'Temple of Doom'). It won't be as blatantly scornful as Reagan slapping Angie Dickenson/ Mola Ram ripping some guy's heart out, but the libs will be given their chance to snicker. Afterwards they'll claim it was coincidence if the clips ran alphabetically.

If someone started asking the attendees now, "will you clap if Ronald Reagan is shown or mentioned?" ...we could accumulate some delightfully dumb quotes. Maybe they'll even pledge to sit on their hands like they did for Kazan, another guy who helped weed commies from the industry.
