"A March 2004 study by the Expertiza foundation found 45 percent thought Russia was anti-Semitic while 42 percent said Jews ought to be barred from power."
This is news from three days ago, but it's probably news to most of us. Considering history, things don't look good at all over there.

Actually, Jews are moving back to Russia in record numbers and there are plenty of Jewish schools and synogages all over Moscow and other cities. The actions of 19 Duma members, out of 450 (4%) are greatly blown out of proportions, as usual. Nor the fact that they withdrew their "bill" after massive pressure from the rest of the Duma. If you think at least 4% of our Congress is not anti-Jewish/Christian you are fooling yourself.
When David Duke got elected, did that mean America was anti-Semetic?

And yet a half jew sits as Prime Minister, and not only that but is the second such Prime Minister. Have there been a single VP here who was even half Jewish? How about a none protestant president? Oh, yes, one catholic, and yet Catholics are 20% of the population. Hmmm, lots of room to talk.

Jews were mistreated throughout much of the Soviet era, with dissidents sent by Stalin to gulags and Jewish students barred from entry to the more prestigious universities. Coincidentally, where is the Soviet Union today?
