I'll probably get flamed for this, but I'm not crazy about copying the purple-finger symbol. I just think badge of honor belongs to those brave Iraqi voters. These congress people didn't do what those men and women did.

I would prefer purple ribbons or armbands or something. Just not fingers.

No flame here, but...our country did have something to do with it too. We have spent blood and treasure there.

But I see your point.

I would have no problem if Bush held up a purple finger...to the dems...but only if it was the middle one!

I agree with you. For politicians to use it just cheapens the symbolism.
