"So when these nay sayers try to pick out Scriptures (always from the OT) to compare Islam with Christianity..."

Always from the OLD Testament. NEVER from the NEW.

Why? Is it because the Old Testament is the Original Testament of the Jewish people? The People whom mohammad wished first and foremost to destoy?

Here's a quote from Worlds in Collision, written by Velikovsky, that may throw some light on the subject.

'The Jewish people did not obtain all of its 'supremacy' in that one day at the Mountain of the Lawgiving; this people did not receive the message of monotheism as a gift. It struggled for it; and step by step, from the smoke rising from the furnace of Egypt, from the deliverance of the Red Sea amid the sky-high tides, from the wandering in the cloud-enshrouded desert burning with naptha, from the internal struggle, from the desperate and herioc struggle for national existence on its narrow strip of land against the overwhelming empires of Assyria and Egypt, it became a nation chosen to bring a message of the brotherhood of man to all the peoples of the world.'

The Old Testament is the history of its people. Anti-Semites and Muslims identify themselves when they attack it, as they continuously do. IMHO.
