why would Bush have had to hire an outside attorney for the Plume affair.A potential criminal investigation, which is not part of his job description , potential conflict of interest issues (perceived more than real), keeping Gonzales as far away from that mess as possible. Just a few thoughts.

My g-d, was that Durban saying that Gonzales presided over prison treatment equal to the way the Japanese treated our prisoners? Yep

The La Raza comment came from Michele Malkin. And no, I have nothing from Gonzales' mouth - I don't speak with him personally, I get my information from other people and this what other sources are stating about him, hardly liberal ones.
Wouldn't it be best to hear it from the man instead of accusing him of something that someone else says he said?

I had this thought listening to Byrd. Bank robbed, perpetrators caught, tried and found guilty. Police still refusing to take responsibility for original bank robbery.

Long and short. Whether he likes the laws or not, he'll enforce the laws on the books. Which is what Ashcroft said and did also
