Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, who fainted Monday, speaking yesterday about her illness. She says it was possibly brought on after a staff retreat at the Westchester Hilton in Rye.
WASHINGTON Clinton said yesterday a fainting spell she suffered might have come from food poisoning that she may have picked up at an expensive Westchester County hotel.
"It was either a 24-hour virus or something we ate," ........ "Everybody ate the same thing," noted Clinton, saying that she and others at the hotel for a staff retreat all had the same meals.
Clinton said that her entire 60-person staff from Washington and New York were attending a meeting... over the weekend and began getting sick Saturday and Sunday.
She declined to blame the hotel ...... Clinton also wouldn't say what everyone ate, but noted that 32 of her staffers became ill.
.....Clinton said. "I feel good, but I have a little bit of residue."
Clinton said many were too sick to go to work Monday, but that she opted to go ahead with her regular schedule a plan she now regrets.
"I decided to get up yesterday morning and keep my schedule, which was probably not the smartest thing to do," Clinton said.
Yesterday, Clinton tried to make light of her spell, which frightened the audience at the Buffalo Saturn Club when she announced Monday morning that she could not continue. Secret Service agents, who accompany her everywhere, rushed to her side.
Back on her feet and in Washington, Clinton ate another catered lunch, this time at the U.S. Capitol. After it was over, Clinton emerged with Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) and amid laughter vowed to keep drinking Gatorade to help her regain strength.
"I'm drinking as much as I can," Clinton said, laughing.

I've just got to get into government.
Now watch all the DU people and their ilk will say the evil Republicans tried to poison Hillary.
"I'm drinking as much as I can," Clinton said, laughing."
Those pesky Democrats. All modeling themselves after Swimmer Ted.
All expenses paid, room service, free food, while they meet to figure out how to milk more out of the taxpayers. I bet they are investigating the food staff and waitstaff to see if there is a right wing food poisoner.
PR stunt. JMO.
Apparently, we have chefs on the staff of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy. :)

Paging John Edwards...
She's got a case!
"at an expensive Westchester County hotel. "
The Rye Hilton is NOT an expensive hotel. I hae stayed there on biz travel. It's only OK. Now, it is more expensive than a Motel 6 ...
Do all senators go around with an entourage of 60?!
O.K. I can't pass this one up.
Thanks for the update bill...TMI!
Oh wait this is the winch well the same applies except hers is GUNSHOT residue from offing Vince Foster.
Man! don't out me!!!
Ah gee, I don't want to hear about her residue. You can use baby wipes for that and be discrete. Anyway, she always looks like she's suffering from some stomach virus to me.
I know a guy who works in the security biz who told me when the evil one goes somewhere, she takes over something like two entire floors of a hotel or whereever the beast is staying, and I remember reading about that as well a few years ago. And guess who pays for that?? Not even J-Lo has that kind of entourage. Why the hell the beast needs a 60 person entourage is something I`ll never understand in a million years. I don`t even think Bush has that many people when he goes somewhere. 60 people, just think how many people that is. If you could fit 5 people in a car, that`s 12 cars it takes to transport the entourage of the beast. Kerry is the same way. I remember last year he went to a fund raiser out in the Hamptons NY and they said he came in with a 15 car entourage as well as a police escort. It`s the freggin` Hamptons for chissake, what are they going to do, throw a quiche at him? It`s just all about pure freggin` ego isn`t it?
Now we know why she got sick, she had the Westchester Hilton on Rye.
That staff has been increased to 61 ... She just added a food taster.
Those Russians are everywhere. ;)
hey Vic! you're not the only one :-)
We are everywhere, aren't we (smirk)!?!
