Jim Huckabee is dead wrong. The public wants to cut off benefits for illegal aliens. Its the right thing to do. And I hope we'll see more legislation among these lines in the future. My response is if these people are really here to do honest work, then their advocates should have no problem with their not being an on-going expense to American taxpayers.

People are sick of being taxed to pay for "welfare" services -- I don't blame them. Also, there is nothing wrong with verifying identity to vote. I think all states should follow Arkansas' example.

People will change their tune all over America when they suddenly need to take a loved one or have to go to emergency for themselves and find a line 20 deep of illegal immigrants ahead of them........

A Baptist minister, Huckabee singled out Holt, also a Christian. Said the governor: "I drink a different kind of Jesus juice."Yes. It's called kool-aid. Spiked with stupidity and avarice.

Isn't that going to disenfranchise a lot of "Democrats" from voting? If they don't get benefits, they might not stay. I guess the next State in line will end up footing the bill as they migrate. But, the next State might not be able to afford it. Uh Oh, this might be the first step of a revolution... ;-)

"This is the wrong way to go. It singles out a particular group. It's based on emotion and on a misunderstanding." No, sir, it is the RIGHT way to start. Then go to other "groups" that are bankrupting government. Christianity is about getting people into heaven. Politics is about power and control. Christianity involves doing what is right even if it is painful. Politics is about doing what keeps you in power, nothing else.

The bill, Hackabee said, "inflames those who are racist and bigots WooHoo! Make sure you throw that RACE card out there, HuckyBoy!
and makes them think there's a real problem
REAL problem? You think the ten BILLION dollars the Feds have spent, PLUS California's the ten BILLION, PLUS whatever else the other states have spent DOESN'T constitute a *real* problem?
Oh, I forgot - It's not a problem because it's not your money being stolen to support people who have spit in the face of our laws!

Its about damn time. Dry up the well and they'll stop coming.
I have a perfect solution to all these imbeciles who are complaining about this bill. When an illegal comes over into this country and heads for the welfare office (I.E., the Well), redirect them to those who opposed this bill and tell them to reach into their pockets and foot the bill. I'll bet their entire attitude changes when the currency starts coming directly outta their pockets and ONLY their pockets. Of course they'll have to support all these illegals for the rest of their lives, plus all he family members they bring over.
Its so easy to be charitable with other peoples money.

Arkasas will be sued by mexico in the international court for cutting off their money supply! They are going to sue Arizona for this type of action. Like we care what the international court has to say to us! Shoot all illegals coming across the border and ship their bodies back to mexico city to fox and then let him figure out what to do next!

Great news for Arkansas! Now let's get a law like this in every state. That would slow the tsunami of illegals flowing into the US, but not stop it. Stopping it will take a lot of voter pressure on the gummint. Write your Reps and Sinators now!

To Sens. Jim Holt and Denny Altes : Many thanks. We support your valiant effort.
To Governor Mike Huckabee: I use to know ye well, then you morphed over the years into a RINO. No more votes for you!

inflammatory ... race-baiting and demagoguery Who is the REAL race-baiter here? Sounds like Huckabee (the Huckster) is. I don't believe the bill specifies any race in any way. It simply cuts off benefits to ILLEGALS - period. Are all illegals of one race? No. I guess Huckabee thinks so. But then again, the Huckster is a leftist, Socialist, pinko who's only "conservative" positions are on Gun Ownership and Abortion (or so he claims). Yes, these are two important issues - but not enough when you won't keep the Fox out of the henhouse.
