But the Patriots? Quick, name someone from the Patriots other than Tom Brady.
Okay, I've seen every friggin Superbowl in history so far and I can tell you the following
1. The only people that give a sh*t about McNabb's race are the sports writers and the race baiters. The fact that he happens to be black is a footnote.
2. Defense is the key to a Superbowl win. No def no Bowl.
3. If you're a true football fan do not and I repeat do not watch listen or read the hype, it's crap and speculation and most importantly show biz. Fire up the set at 5:20 pm Central and watch the GAME. When the GAME is over just walk away... no really just give it up until next year. Believe me I speak from years of experience
Oh and by the way this game is over at halftime NE by 10 at the break and over by 20 at the end...
Stars with soup contracts and a Mom (am I the only guy who wonders why there is never any Dad) don't win Superbowls, teams win these things
Bruschi...Vinatieri That's two
I hope the final score is posted somewhere on the net next Monday or Tuesday. I don't care who wins, but I'd like to see the score.
I'm a die-hard life-long New England fan, so I could name many. However, the fact that many people CAN'T is just the way NE likes it - they are a TEAM, not a collection of well-known superstars. In fact, that's the way I like it, too.
Amen. And do NOT watch the Super Bowl halftime show, particularly if you aren't interested in whether Paul McCartney wears a nipple shield.
Yeah, I'm just ignoring any news about the Super Bowl this week in order to avoid the hype. I will start paying attention to the Super Bowl at about 6:18 P.M. on Sunday when the Super Bowl actually starts.
You shouldn`t do that. It is in bad taste.
That bunny rabbit doesn`t deserve that kind of humiliation.
poor bunny : (
( You never heard of Rugby , huh ? Once you play it, you realize what a contact sport really is ).
Rugby? That's for Pikers. I'm MARRIED.
All the good teams are out. Baseball season is all that's left.
Pikers? I guess I should post that picture of the rabbit with that dead girl on its head to you.
I'm gonna use this thread to ask for some FReeper help.
I've been compiling a list of fun Sperbowl facts (for the heck of it), but I can't seem to find a place that lists what the "line" was in past superbowls. In other words what were the odds before the game? Who were the favorites?
Any help appreciated.
I've been compiling a list of fun Superbowl factsHere's a fact for ya:
Twenty-five times the Superbowl has matched Man versus Beast (as in the teams namesake)
18 times Man has been triumphant - soon to be 19 out of 26.
I hope the NE secondary crushes TO..
It's this Sunday. If it's any help, you can start drinking now.
I know, because McNabb makes a big point of it.
I'm a true football fan and I watch and read the hype, it's all part of the fun. People talk about the game within the game, but there's also the game outside the game. And watching the sports media of the world try to make 40,000 hours of TV and radio out of a 3 hour game before it's even played is funny.
I would say itsmore the sportswriters and the media in general. The liberals have a stake in this game, too; if the Eagles win, they can stick it to Rush Limbaugh. Having said that, I hope Bruschi and company can contain Mcnabb and Westbrook, so Rodney Harrison and company can have their way with Terrell "the mouth" Owens..
Cool, I'll check that out.
I should have explained, I started looking in google, but I went to a site that hijacked my computer. So now every time I try to go to a site that has what I want, I get stuck going to this friggin intertops site.
Very confusing, I'm sorry.
Michael Moore?
