I think they thought we'd be fooled. I spent a bit of time last night reading Ask the Imam These people are not grounded in reality.
I can't believe even an Islamist thought we would be fooled for long, but then I don't understand anything an Islamist does or what they think. On the other hand, I can believe a hacker doing this as a joke.
