Claymores and Helo gunships would be more 'reasonable'.

Seriesly tho, Just a few well placed rifle shots should do the trick.

Does the .50 BMG have the range to reach Mexico city ???

That would work. However; a GE or Dillon Aero Minigun would be more precise and impressive.

I'd settle for backup by a few military sniper teams, with weapons-free ROE on anyone firing across the border.

Personally I'd like to see BP agents vehicles armed with MK19's and 50 Cals.

That would stop this kind of crap real fast.
