Right. He owns a bundle of rights to the property not the property itself. So it is with the rest of us. When I bought my house I was really buying a bundle of rights. These concepts are taught in basic real estate courses.

I don't think anyone owns any real property anywhere in this country. Thanks to property taxes, we are merely just renting from the government.
