For Mr. Gilchrist:
Wrong again Mr. Gilhrist. I am not posing as anyone but myself.
I am not an anarchist.
I don't know, have never know, and am not posing as AZ Wifey.
Why is it Mr. Gilchrist, that you posted only part of our brief email exchange on your website? After editing to suit your purposes of course. Because I disagree with your methods?
Im really disappointed in G.W.
A while back he said, promised the way I took it, that he would have 2,000 more Border Patrol hired each year for the next 5. 10,000 more boots on the ground. Maybe 7,500 since it is a Government run organization. Administrative overhead you know. Now its 210.
We need those well-trained professional boots on the ground. I dont give a hoot how much technology you employ if the boots cant go get em.
We have civilians who want to help out with boots. Some for a short time, some for a hobby, some as a way of life. The lifers may get some respect and assistance from the local authorities, but I doubt that the hobbyists and short timers will.
So what to do.
Why not get the organizers of the short timers and hobbyists to march on Washington.
Take a 30 day and night protest to the legislature.
Camp out at the Capitol. Wave flags, carry signs and make a lot of noise for 30 days and nights.
It seems to me that may have a much larger effect than anything else. Think of the publicity.
30 days and nights of TV and radio. Take or make lots of soapboxes for the people to shout from.
The national press likes to cover Washington and they love protest marches.
Maybe, just maybe, this Nation would then start to ask their legislators what the heck is going on.
Its going to take a national campaign to get national coverage.
Camping out for 30 days in Cochise County wont do it. Itll get press coverage here and there, off and on.
Camping out in D.C. for 30 days would yield 30 days of national press coverage, and I think thats what needs to be done.
Wait until school is out so the kids can go stay with Grandma.
Maybe around July 4th, thats a big vacation time for blue-collar workers among other things.
Recruit thousands of volunteers, not a few hundred. Tell it to them straight, dont lie, and dont make up or twist words. Not even the comments of those who may will oppose. Avoid radical fringe rhetoric.
Ill go if the batteries on the chair will get me there, and Ill have to hire a dog sitter.
