For many years FR had a "posting guidelines" section. That section may, or may not, still exist. "Thread Jumping" was the term used to decribe, and forbid, the pursuit of an individual poster to other, unrelated threads.
Thanks for this information.

Do the "firearms violations on Federal Property" laws infringe on the 2nd amendment?

He would be the real "resident authority" with his CRIMINAL history of lying to Federal Officers and being arrested in Arizona for firearms violations on Federal Property.Surely you don't support frderal gun laws, do you?

Hey There Mr. Gilchrist: I was just getting ready to post something to AZ Ranger's Wifey. Some of his "information" was suspect from the beginning. I was also going to forward this thread to you so you could see what was being said about the MMProject. The guy's a mole of some sort. I would suspect he's from Mayor Borane's office or Janet Napolitano's office.
To: AZ Rangers Wifey
First off, when asked Gilchrist said that he personally wasn't going to carry.
Gilchrist's friend in Tombstone is a convicted Felon
Well why don't you come out and just say his name.Chris Simcox. We've all heard the story about him in the poorly marked National Park. Maybe it was an honest mistake maybe not.
From where I sit, the lawlessness of thousands of illegals entering our country is more a concern than one lone man violating a federal weapons law hundreds of miles from me.
Not too many freepers make such an issue out of citizens carrying. Maybe you should go join another web site. Check with Sarah Brady.
To: AZ Rangers Wifey
Wifey, you're amazing. 674 words and nothing new to say. I don't know how you do it.
Nothing about the woefully underfunded Border Patrol. Nothing about Bush's willingness to anger his base and to placate Vicente Fox. Nothing about anything that the Minutemen are addressing with their presence.
And possible solutions? Forget about it. You don't seem to think there is a real problem at all. And you have somehow channelled the terror cells and know that they plan on coming down from Canuckistan. Yeah, the Muslim terrorists wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb coming from the Great White North (pun intended) rather than flowing through the Southern sieve along with Mexicans, Central and South Americans, Europeans, and Asians that make it into the U.S. that way.
I can't wait to see how many bytes you waste giving me the same response you've given maybe a dozen times on this thread.

I'm sure that's a possibility for some that I've never met. But not the ones' I have lunch with.
The BP I asked were not just spouting party line.
The majority of them said something like "It's a two edged sword. They draw attention to the situation, but draw us away from what we were doing."

For Mr. Gilchrist:
Wrong again Mr. Gilhrist. I am not posing as anyone but myself.
I am not an anarchist.
I don't know, have never know, and am not posing as AZ Wifey.
Why is it Mr. Gilchrist, that you posted only part of our brief email exchange on your website? After editing to suit your purposes of course. Because I disagree with your methods?

Im really disappointed in G.W.
A while back he said, promised the way I took it, that he would have 2,000 more Border Patrol hired each year for the next 5. 10,000 more boots on the ground. Maybe 7,500 since it is a Government run organization. Administrative overhead you know. Now its 210.
We need those well-trained professional boots on the ground. I dont give a hoot how much technology you employ if the boots cant go get em.
We have civilians who want to help out with boots. Some for a short time, some for a hobby, some as a way of life. The lifers may get some respect and assistance from the local authorities, but I doubt that the hobbyists and short timers will.
So what to do.
Why not get the organizers of the short timers and hobbyists to march on Washington.
Take a 30 day and night protest to the legislature.
Camp out at the Capitol. Wave flags, carry signs and make a lot of noise for 30 days and nights.
It seems to me that may have a much larger effect than anything else. Think of the publicity.
30 days and nights of TV and radio. Take or make lots of soapboxes for the people to shout from.
The national press likes to cover Washington and they love protest marches.
Maybe, just maybe, this Nation would then start to ask their legislators what the heck is going on.
Its going to take a national campaign to get national coverage.
Camping out for 30 days in Cochise County wont do it. Itll get press coverage here and there, off and on.
Camping out in D.C. for 30 days would yield 30 days of national press coverage, and I think thats what needs to be done.
Wait until school is out so the kids can go stay with Grandma.
Maybe around July 4th, thats a big vacation time for blue-collar workers among other things.
Recruit thousands of volunteers, not a few hundred. Tell it to them straight, dont lie, and dont make up or twist words. Not even the comments of those who may will oppose. Avoid radical fringe rhetoric.
Ill go if the batteries on the chair will get me there, and Ill have to hire a dog sitter.

I guess Mr. Gilchrist is so superior that he has to have his minnions post lies to and about people who do not agree with him. Congratulations, you just allowed someone to turn you into a liar, good work there "Minute-person". I have been a woman all of my life, and from what I have seen of BrianP. (he is a man) he's entitled to protection thru our citizens' group if he should ask me I will be glad to help him.
I think what has upset him the most is that Mr. GilCHRIST has a God complex and believes he has the right or duty to come to Cochise County when thousands of illegal aliens are passing through California (HIS HOME STATE) every day!
I believe that Mr. GilCHRIST has misquoted an e-mail exchange between he and BrianP on the Minutemen's website. I guess that only further proves that he is a LIAR and will use whatever efforts he has to to confuse and convince you folks who want to be pro-active or protect our border conditions to follow him to the ends of the earth (oh but NOT to California)! Who would have more interest in protecting our border here than it's citizenry? We just do not happen to agree with Mr. GilCHRIST (& his tactics) he will not face me because he would be facing someone who opposes him openly. When he gets to Tombstone, he may have the honor of meeting me, it did not appear to me that Brianp wanted to have anything to do with GilCHRIST and his group.
Maybe a more appropriate name for him should be "Jim Jones" GilCHRIST then when he wants to use you to send his messages, dictate how you spend your money (to come out here on a "Mission") and maybe after you are out in the desert and he offers you the Kool-Aid, you will drink it eagerly because you will be so thirsty!
B4, I have not forgotten you while I am being battered about over here I was in Tucson yesterday. As soon as I have caught up I will try to give your post the light of day that I promised you.
Hmmm, now I am a man? Uh idratherbepainting, I learned the difference between the genders when I was very young, but I can assure you that while I do not have ANY of the male equipment that Mr. Gilchrist has claimed that I have, I do not lack the courage that some folks think a set (like that) gives them. (laughing all the way to the beauty parlor, if I am being mistaken for a man then it must be time for a new hair-do!)
I am woman, and I will leave the roaring to the lions, I will be the one carrying the legal briefs when they drag you in from the lock up. It's the only briefs I have ever had anything to do with, and no I don't wear boxers either.

I have the scissors with the rounded tips, do they count when you say, "no running with scissors"? This exchange has become a great amusement for some in my group who have the Internet.
Do we know that we have been hoodwinked into believing that we would have 2000 new Agents on our Border? Yes. Do I think it's right? He11 NO!
Now back to the topic of the thread, do I think the Minutemen will make some kind of difference if they come to our communities? Not really. Oh if they only could. We have seen this type of "action/mission" before on our borders, and it did nothing FOR us. I keep going back to the idea that many effective protests have been taken to our nation's capital, it's too easy for the Government to ignore the Minutemen when they are out here in the desert, doesn't it prove that we do not have the eye of the Government out here when they ONLY give us a fraction of the Border Agents that were PROMISED?
Well it's my opinion (and some of our group would even be willing to join in the protest, if it were being done in Washington instead of down here). Our area is obviously not a priority in Washington, but if the Minutemen wanted to really make a difference perhaps they could do so if they took their numbers and protests directly to the people who CAN make a difference.
If the Minutemen want to come out here to be cowboys or pseudo-Border Patrol Officers then call it what it is~ a chance to get drunk and party with the fellers in the desert. (My opinion).
If the Minutemen want to make a real difference they will take their numbers and their concerns (written by someone besides whomever wrote that tripe on their web page), and draw the elected official's eyes back to their promises and our problems down here.

I do support the idea of not lying when a Federal Agent asks if you are armed. This was not the case in this particular issue. The man lied to the Federal Agents when asked if he was armed, later after finding a CONCEALED handgun, they were (with good right) concerned enough to arrest this person. If you lie to Law Enforcement, then they begin to believe you may have done so in order to use that CONCEALED weapon on them. Can you see why they may have been more concerned that the man lied in order to secret the weapon? I believe if you are armed, and an Federal employee approaches you and asks that you should not lie to them.

I agree that visitors should call first and make an appointment if they want to visit. How are homeowners going to tell the difference between a stranger and an unwelcome visitor? Shoot first, says the property owner of a trespasser, and sort it out later.
