Eh, I heard about this on the Smithsonian listerv two days ago.
A demonstration of how you can have really large eruptions that go unnoticed in the mainstream media, and this happens all the time.
The problem comes when people begin to go really out of their way to find these, and then when they do, they function under the mistaken impression that there's been a sudden recent increase in them.
A demonstration of how you can have really large eruptions that go unnoticed in the mainstream media, and this happens all the time..."
Strategerist, this is not the first time you "already knew" something yet failed to post anything "two days ago." Why didn't you post the story "two days ago" so that others could read the story?
Getting the story first and then waiting to pounce on others is rather inconsiderate, don't you think?
If it bothers you to read other Freepers' items of interest, why do you? It seems that you frequently go to substantial effort posting your disinterest in a topic.
This time you claim that you knew about it already and then you deliberately waited for someone else to post a story just so that you could post that you "already knew" all about it and now consider the story as inconsequential.
Certainly you have better things to do with your time.
