When is the last time you have heard of a lawyer being sued like a doctor?

Um... lawyers are sued all the time. Like doctors, lawyers are required to carry malpractice insurance.

You did not tell me of any case.Go to any Court House in the country and you wont find it on record. You must have a lawyer friend or you may be one yourself, it doesn't happen in my state.
