The stalls and showers were all little rooms with their own doors, so it wasn't really an issue. The shower rooms were especially useful when it came to hooking up (though I was one of the lucky ones with a single room, but the showers were still fun).
The only thing you would really share with other people were the sinks and I never saw anything more controversial there than a girl applying some type of green goop to her face.
Maybe I missed it, or maybe colleges have turned into one giant Playboy Mansion orgy since I graduated in 1997, but I never really saw the level of debauchery that everyone claims exists in colleges. For the most part, people were too busy with class, athletics and extracurriculars to engage in gang-bangs.
