>Haven't seen you on these threads in a long time. Why won't you just come out and say "what" it is that Terri's supporters should be doing? We're all ears! 8^)
#1. Stop all this talk about corrupt judges, hospice problems, abortion, lawbreaking , side issues, etc. The public wants have faith in their courts. Don't take it away. Talk benefits to the public. Don't insult or scare them.
#2. All that talk is wasted anyway because it's all about PROCESS, not RESULTS. If someone asks you what time it is, tell them. Don't try to teach them to build a watch.
#3. Do whatever you have to do to get rid of the loonies. One loonie, (especially one on camera) can instantly undo the work of 100 good people.
#4. Make a plan, message of the day, etc. EVERYONE works off the same sheet of music. No wildcards.
#5. Reduce the message to the public to 100 words or less.
"An innocent woman in St. Pete. is going to die without your help. She is in and out of a coma and her philandering husband wants to cut off her food and water. She would starve to death. Can you imagine starving to death?
Her parents love her very much. They want to take her home and care for her, at no expense to taxpayers, but a misinformed judge won't let them.
In Florida, we bend over backwards to protect condemned murderers, but this woman will die without your help. Please call/write/visit _______ NOW and ask them to prevent this tragety."
That's 96 words. Keep repeating that same simple message again and again and again and again to everyone. You will get no real results until you get 600 gross exposure points. That's the average person hearing this message six times. You will get terribly bored with it. Keep it going.
Greyhound thrived 19 years on "Go Greyhound, and leave the driving to us." With that one message they put their national competition into bankruptcy.
How long do good messages last. Can you complete this saying ?
"Hey Kids..... What time is it????"
It''s ______ ______ time!"
#6. Finally, remember, you are trying to convince a small percentage of the people. Forget about working hard to get the conservatives. You already have us.
Forget about trying to get the far-left crowd. You can't.
Target the middle of the road types. You can move them.
Target the seniors. You know why and how. "If they can do this to this young woman....... "
#7. Always be the voice of reason, not the voice of volume.
#8. Get the best PR person you can. Joe Curley in Sarasota is tops. Pay him. You are paying the lawyers, aren't you.
#9. Never give up.
#10. If this sounds like elective politics, it is.
#11 Pray.
Do these things and you will win, if it's not too late. Good luck.
Prayers....
