It was a very popular practice in the Middle Ages. So, if they can be allowed to give her communion, she is less likely to starve and if they refuse her communion, it becomes a legal issue as to her freedom of religion.

Terri's parents motions were REJECTED regarding Terri's religious freedom, rejected by J. Greer and rejected on appeal. The Pope is a nobody in the Fla courts. The Pope makes a clear distinction between natural death and euthanasia/dehydration/starvation.
