Bump. Since this is already national and global our leaders just can't stand idly by and let harm come to Terri for a 3rd time. It is illegal to starve animals for gosh sake! Thanks for your calls.. keep em coming!!!
I called Gov. Bush, and my husband called Gov. Bush.
Also, I e-mailed Gov. Bush and am praying for Terri and all concerned.
In the past I wrote a letter to the editor to both secular and Catholic newspapers, which were published.
I wish I could do more.
Anything else that I can do?

Hi milford,
I think you will be interested in this Terri Schiavo thread.
Please consider calling and/or e-mailing Gov. Bush and asking him to "Save Terri Schiavo."
GOVERNOR JEB BUSH: 1-850-488-4441
EMAIL: jeb@myflorida.com
See you later, my friend. :)
btw/See my new tagline
That was a knee-slapper. Reminds me of a silly poem.
One bright day in the middle of the night
Two dead soldiers began to fight
Back to back they faced eachother
Drew their swords and shot eachother
A deaf policeman heard that shot
And came and killed those two dead boys
BB - I posted what I think could be a couple of legal answers here at post #72: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/13440361/posts
I clicked your link. It says "No such thread."
"But the governor said he doesn't see any legal options left to intervene again."
"I'll do what the law will allow me to," Bush said Wednesday night."
Please continue to call Governor Jeb Bush's office: 1-850-488-4441
I began by thanking him for what he has done in the past.
Also please call the Governor's Legislative Affairs Office: 1-850-488-5000
LOL, excellent new tagline, CR!
Me too!
Keep up the good work, FReeper pal.
I think this is the right one.

"Abuse of an elderly person or disabled adult" means:
(1a) Intentional infliction of physical or psychological injury upon an elderly person or disabled adult;
(1b) An intentional act that could reasonably be expected to result in physical or psychological injury to an elderly person or disabled adult; or
(1c) Active encouragement of any person to commit an act that results or could reasonably be expected to result in physical or psychological injury to an elderly person or disabled adult.
(2c) Knowingly or willfully abuses an elderly person or disabled adult and in so doing causes great bodily harm, permanent disability, or permanent disfigurement to the elderly person or disabled adult.
Governor Bush MUST be AWARE of THAT LAW.
That's it BB!! sheesh, can't even post my own link LOL
How clear is that???? Give me a break Governor Bush!
Welp, like any political presence, he has legal advisors. That may be the sticking point.
And since I'm not a lawyer and don't play one on TV, I'm just giving you a simpleton's interpretation of those laws. 415.1051 enables Adult Protective Services through the Department of Children and Families to provide protective custody for an incapacitated person who is the victim of alleged abuse. The Governor is the chief of that department.
825.102 outlines what constitutes abuse and, since it's the law, I can't see how a judge can override it.
Put like this - I rob a liquor store. The state has me arrested and charged. I tell the state "well, the judge said I could do it." Would that hold even a drop of water?
The state has and always had the power to act.
