in Europe, diesel-powered automobiles now make up 40% of all new car sales.

I wonder if they all leave the engines running when they are parked.

Why diesel owners do that? Do they enjoy the stink, or is it that obnoxious sound?

Truckers do it to keep the engine warm.

Try breating next to a gas engine the size of a Semi. You'll love that for sure. And relax, benzine can't be more carcinogenic than diesel (sarcasm).

As far as stink and sound, next time you look up and see a VW with TDI, or D series Merc, or a Jeep Liberty CDI, or even a new Dodge Ram ask yourself if you knew they were diesel?
