Can't based the figures on total population. The majority are most likely not eligible to vote.

We/Iraqi's are winning ~ the bad guys are losing ~ trolls, terrorists, democrats and the mainstream media are sad ~ very sad!

Good point. Assuming at least 40% eligibility then it would be roughly 8% participation among eligible voters not counting several thousand Iraqi soldiers stationed there who evidently voted. As low as that figure is, considering the consequences of death, it shows the willingness of a few to risk all. Thanks for catching my math error.

The articles I've seen in the last few months indicate that citizens are slowly returning to Fallujah. Most are heads of households trying to rebuild their houses before the rest of the family returns. The city is probably nowhere near its normal population.

The first non-soldier to vote was a woman, walking alone. How could anyone chicken out of voting after seeing that?

Thank you for the telling of Cpl. Mitchell's courage. Mr. Kerry can only dream of such valor, aside from lying about it.

"There are a number of Marines who have been wounded multiple times but refuse to leave their fellow Marines." And that's why these Men are Heroes!
