The Texas border region is getting billions of dollars of federal money --- but you don't want California to have any? The border counties of Texas would collapse if it wasn't for all the federal grants and bailouts to the schools, clinics, hospitals etc. Imagine what would happen to Texas if Medicaid and federal grants for indigent care were even just cut in half. 80% of the public school children in a big city like Houston are on the free breakfast and lunch program --- and that's not right on the border.
