Nothing on earth like Spectre firing support, is there? I loved having either Spectre or A-10s firing overhead, but hated Cobras. You never quite felt sure about where the ordnance was going from a Cobra.

It finally gave me something I could picture in my mind as to what the wrath of God could be like.

IMHOpinion the most famous Spectre is named Azrael, the Muslim angel of death. Azrael is retired now to the Air Force Museum at Wright Pat. She was in Gulf war 1 and did the majority of damage on the Highway of Death. Her crew singlehandedly STOPED the Iraqi escape until the F-16's and Hogs could get there. I believe they were awarded the Presidential Unit Citation. Go to the AF Museum site and she is pictured on a taxiway.
