Saw the M61 demo at Lowery as I was learning to become a muzzle --er 462X0. They loaded 35 rounds in her and told us not to blink. Sounded like a bad case of beans!
Ended up babysitting the M39A2 in F-100D/Fs, 1800 rounds a minute, four in each sled. Dependable but when they jammed it was hammer and chisel time.

You know we stole that basic design from the Germans. Of course it wasn't as cool as when we stole some stuff from the Soviets, without kicking their heines first, back in the bad old days. I could tell you what, but then I'd have to shoot both of us. :)
