The theory holds that the complex features of living organisms, such as an eye, are better explained by an unspecified designing intelligence than by random mutation and natural selection.

Explanation: the eye was created---end of inquiry. In fact, ID would have us abandon all scientific inquiry.

If ignorance isn't bliss, then I don't know what is.

Sternberg may have been (and I agree was) badly treated, but I'd hardly call him a "genius". Indeed he comes off as a flake. "I'm in the postmodern predicament." Oh, puh-lease. You read his stuff it sounds like it was generated by the Chomskybot. Frankly his "ideas" (IMHO) are indulgent, sloppy, vague, new-agey, near-content-free junk. Still his critics are silly for getting worked up over the Meyers article which is nothing but hand-waving. Heck if it were substantive it's still just a a review article, i.e. no original research!
