I've read both Atlas Shrugged and The Fountain Head and was even at one time a teen aged girl. Believe me when I say that neither of those books are something that would keep the attention of your average girl let alone have them think they tended toward romance.

I read The Fountainhead as a 15-year-old going on 16, and it destroyed my life for the next eleven years and maybe more. I was all ready to adopt a philosophy of selfishness and immorality, and so I did. It's much too powerful for teenagers. (I read Atlas Shrugged, too, which possibly made things worse, since it does have more substance economically.)
