Abraham was from the seaside town of Ur, it is presently about 100 miles inland. I'll see if I can find a map of Uruk.

This is a cool find, but I'm confused why BBC is running this story again because like someone mentioned they already reported this a while ago (
Gilgamesh tomb believed found, 4/29/03), as you probably remember, too, because I think there was an FR thread on this. Did you notice anything new in this report that explains why they're running it again? I'm trying to find anything that's an update from the earlier story and I can't find anything.
