I haven't been over to DU to see what they're making of this good news. I imagine those who haven't dropped dead from strokes are on suicide watch about now.
What is DU?
Haven't delved into the forums at DUh as I don't want to shower until later this afternoon. The front page actually has almost no references. What's there is, of course, disdainful and sneering.
Article blurb: ...the Iraqi 'elections' top the subjects today...Article header: Right-Wing Fantasies and Iraq
O.K., I decided to peek. Just looking at the index or tree to the article "Iraqi Voter Turnout Placed at 72% (AP)" here are some randomly selected subject lines. I'm not going to read the comments as wrapping my head in duct tape to prevent explosions is too troublesome:
The Kurds are voting in droves.. [reply] Yea, this is going to be a great representative government, [Notice that now it's not even good enough to divine the intent of voters in order to override actual legal and properly registered votes, a la Floriduh; the Iraqi election won't be valid unless we can divine and enact the intent of those who didn't vote. Only in DUmmy Land is it illegitimate for political influence to accrue to those who voted]this is such BS
It's BOGUS bullshit.
I don't know any Iraqis, but I know bullshit when I smell it
Is Karl Rove an Iraqi Reporter?
Fraudulent Election
Is that counting the ones in graves or something?
A Democratic Election Is Still A Good Thing [replies] This election is not democratic. n/t---Yes, if they ever have one we will.---Welcome to DU!! Enjoy your visit. n/t
They just need to keep the charade up for the State of the Union address. [Accidentally clicked on that. The user's icon is an upside down American flag.]
There was NO election in Iraq.
