OOORAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!OOORAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!It's just so gratifying to see this day finally come! A day that vindicates everything Gunny Sgt. Poppaditch and his buddies have sacrificed for. A day that will elevate them in this country's history books, placing them in the hallowed ether of Yorktown, Montezuma, Omaha Beach, Bull Run, San Juan Hill, Midway and Iwo Jima. Their deeds will be remembered honorably, thanks to today.
Given the nature of this war, it's unlikely they'll ever have a ticker tape parade or receive the kind of national recognition they deserve. I suspect they'll be rewarded with a turnaround in the opinion polls after today. They deserve infinitely more.
All that in spite of the bitter opposition to their mission from the democratic party. What cowards the Iraqis have shown them to be!
