cavuto just put the turnout at around 60-odd%, even though the AP is reporting 72% . . . someone get with the program.

given the tech available, I doubt that the accuracy can reasonably be closer than +-5% before prcinct counts come in.

that's a pretty good point. until we have the actual numbers, I guess we should stick with "huge" when we refer to the turnout.

My favorite pictures are of the older women voting. I keep hearing that there was an election 50 years ago. Did the women vote then? My husband said something profound... "do you think that they would vote for their children to be suicide bombers?"

Ron Reagan Jr. on MSNBC is an EMBARASSMENT. He cannot say anything that isn't the cranky lefty whine of the day. Monica Crowley may be a spokeswoman for the right but at least she's nice to look at and obviously has a brain and can speak.
I can watch that boob Oblbersmugman and laugh, and mock anyone on CNN, but Reagan is so low on presence, professionalism and intellect that I literally had to keep switching the channel while he was talking with those MOLAR FANGS of his that catch the saliva when he talks. What a non-entity.

"Oliver North on Fox just said the only thing about the Iraq war that resembles the Vietnam war, and he pointed out that he has been to both, it the caliber of the bullets!!!"I guess this is as good a time as any to post this:
Today has been both difficult and heartening to me, RVN 1968-1969, because the people of South Vietnam deserved the same US governmental resolve as was given to the people of Iraq.
I think Ollie might have oversimplified, the kids serving today aren't 'better' than the kids serving then, but they are sure as hell serving a better America and an America in which at least 51% have learned that it takes more to lead than good intentions and high popularity ratings.

Hello,
This first hand account of this historic day, from the Iraqi people who are there, made me cry, tears of happiness and pride as these brave people showed courage and determination to overcome their past (recent) slavery. Thank God!
Glad to be here, on this wonderful day, MOgirl

Healthy turnout. Low violence. All fabulous news. Far above my worst fears or even highest expectations.
Well done all!

I am not watching it and won't but will be interested in reports.
I see from various posts I've read today that Brian Williams seems determined to destroy any reputation of fairness he may have had. Message received.
To: jveritas
It's very telling that the only people sad today are liberals, MSM, and the many "Joe Hadenufs" of FR.
