"the miserable b*stards at DU are rooting for violence here. and they're not even being slightly coy about it."

Holy cow! I read that thread- I was amazed! What hate for the Iraqis! And such blatant hope that the election was going to fail! My GOD!

I'm listening to these election stories and thinking that it's making DU'ers look like they complete whining idiots they are. Iraqis are literally risking their lives by going to vote. For security, no cars are allowed in Baghdad, so people are walking for miles to get the opportunity to vote. One man pushed his 90 year old grandmother in a wheelbarrow so she could vote. One guy said that if he died while voting, it was the best way he could imagine to die. They are reaching the same or greater voter turnout as the US, and we aren't told that we will die if we vote.

And the DU'ers b**** about standing in line in the rain. And that blacks were disenfranchised because a cop may be standing at the polling place. And ballots are "too confusing".

Throwing a question 'out there' to Freeper-land: Is anyone sending some of these magnificent photos and comments from us Americans to some Iraqi (and hopefully other Arabic - maybe even Chinese) blogs? This is way too good for the entire world of people starved for the truth to miss. I don't have a clue how to do it, but assume some cyber-geniuses do. God bless the Iraqi people!

Heard that, now he's saying we should withdraw troops immidiately. He's no smarter than Kerry.

This is a beautiful, historic day.

I recall when millions of Californians said the same exact thing the day after we voted for and passed prop 187. It would have ended the endless tax paid support of millions of criminal illegal aliens in our country.

The feds working in concert with state hacks and a fed judge, burned our ballots and declared our historic free election illegal. The results of that government action can now be seen from Vegas to Georgia.

Religious tolerance and freedom of conscience is a Christian idea.

Be that as it may, it took hundreds of years before that was codified and civil rights were granted to non-Christians. The Islamic world, in many ways, has not passed from that medieval world but those reasons are more complicated than simply condemning their religion. That's why this election is so important, that's why the constitutional requirements of protecting minority rights is so important. This is what is before the Iraqis and by all reports they seem, so far, to be embracing that idea.

and the removed messages were merely hoping for a successful election without violence. she was hooted down, her posts were obviously alerted, and the powers that be deleted them and erased her profile. and all for hoping for a peaceful election.

I would also point out that violence in iraq exposes american soldiers to increased danger.

the denizens of DUh have always been pathetic wretches, but this is an all-time low even for them.

Just checked the latest Yahoo AP story photos. Six photos of somber Iraqis voting, and one of a pool of blood where a suicide bomber struck near a polling place. No photos of joyous souls dancing or weeping and proclaiming their freedom as were posted earlier on FR. Damn MSM.

Ah-h-h-h-h our current version of 'freedom of the press' - freedom to shape the news. Good thing the blogs are alive and well! Go Iraq!
