Officials said the extensive Arab media coverage of the expatriate voting process is encouraging Iraqis to vote here. "They see the real happiness that Iraqis in the other countries exhibit at being able to vote," said an Iraqi official. "It is contagious." Gee, you know, I seem to recall our president saying something very similar to that. :-)

Well I think "expatriot" implies you are no longer a patriot of your country and "expatriate" implies you are a patriot but you're living elsewhere.

Yes, most of us will be sleeping as the Iraqis start to trudge the road towards freedom. I'll remember them in my nighttime prayers...

Well, guess another talking point is sacrificed to reality.
I noticed some of the pundits were trying to create controversy about those never in Iraq being given the right to vote. Looks as though their right to vote is giving the Iraqi's IN Iraq courage. Amazing.

I noticed some of the pundits were trying to create controversy about those never in Iraq being given the right to vote. The spoilers are out in force. I think it is interesting that, while the President of the United States is the most powerful leader in the world, not for the least of reasons being that he has the most magnificent military the world has ever known at his disposal, the real power that he wields is in his ideas.

Depends.
If these ex??? return to Iraq, after the election, regardless of who wins.
If all the Iraqis living outside Iraq vote, and none of the Iraqis living in Iraq vote, do we declare victory?
