Everything is conspiring today to make me cry my eyes out.
I want to mention Marine Ben Carman of Jefferson, Iowa, who gave his life for his country and to give the Iraqi people a shot at freedom, too.
I gratefully salute him and the others who have fallen, along with their families.
And to all the wounded who will bear the scars of battle for the rest of your days:
To me, those scars are of the same kind as the eternal scars my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ carry in His Hands and in His side...
